Easy to Learn Self-Working Magic Card Tricks

Self-working tricks are the easiest form of magic card tricks. “Self-working” means the trick doesn’t involve gimmicked (special) cards or sleight-of-hand techniques.

Sleight of Hand – The Building Block of Magic Tricks

Besides boring self-working magic card tricks, which are generally based on math — most card tricks require “sleight of hand” techniques. Common sleight of hand techniques used by card magicians include false cuts, card peeking and palming.

Learn a few of these slick moves to create your own unique card tricks, or just to impress a friend or relative. Here is a great video featuring my favorite magic duo: Penn and Teller. They explain how sleight of hand works and go through the most common techniques:
